The book "Citizens in Europe. Civic activism and the democratic Community experiment" written by Giovanni Moro and published by Carocci, was released in November 2009. This book intends to clarify how and to what extent organized citizens are among the protagonists of '"the democratic European experiment ", in the first part by analyzing the thematizations on the nature of the European Union, of EU citizenship and of the participatory democracy models, and in the second part by discussing the main results of research projects and papers on active European citizenship, which have been carried out since 2002 by Active Citizenship Network and FONDACA.

Capalbio Award On August 28th 2010 in Capalbio Town Hall the 2010 edition of the Capalbio Award was presented, which was created to support those approaches that promote integration between cultural, political and social fields. In the "Europe" section of this event Giovanni Moro received the award for his book: Cittadini in Europa. L'attivismo civico e l'esperimento democratico comunitario, edited by Carocci.
