From 2009, FONDACA collaborated with Cittadinanzattiva in carrying out the experimental project "The Civic evaluation of the urban quality", promoted by the Department for Public Administration and Formez, and implemented in 14 cities in Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily.
A particular feature of the Civic evaluation methodology is the central role of citizens in monitoring and evaluating problems and services of public interest: during the experiment, which ended in July 2010, citizens involved in the project, in fact, collected data, produced information, issued reasoned judgments on the problem of urban quality in their city, and formulated proposals on possible improvements.

On July 5th 2010 FONDACA took part in the seminar "Civic evaluation and urban quality: a shared analysis of the experiment" the final stage of the project. The event, involving the main protagonists of the experiment, representatives of administrations participating in the project, civic contacts, experts and monitor citizens, aimed at presenting the results which emerged from the activities in the field, at analyzing the strengths and critical points of the methodology and at reflecting on possible strategies to improve the services evaluated. |
