"Monitoring and Evaluating the State of European Active Citizenship Rights" was a project implemented by FONDACA in cooperation with Active Citizenship Network and 10 national-based citizens' organizations in the framework of the EC DGEAC "Citizens for Europe" program between June 2007 and June 2008, supported by the European Commission - DG Education and Culture - and Marche Region.
The project had been aimed at supporting the rights to active citizenship in Europe, as they had been set up in the European Charter of Active Citizenship and other relevant documents, thus giving to public institutions, civic organizations and their stakeholders the opportunity to check and improve the implementation of these rights, intended as constituent part of the European integration and the strengthening of European citizenship.
