CIVIC ACTIVISM

Planning of training projects on active citizenship. Following the conclusion of the training project "Through the Mirror, experimental course on active citizenship" and following on from its success in terms of the participation and involvement of those who attended, FONDACA is planning new educational initiatives on the themes connected to active citizenship. The course itself originated from the desire to build a shared knowledge about active citizenship which allows participants to help test and evaluate this training for future educational initiatives coherent with a more general and comprehensive approach to the topic.

The structure of umbrella organizations - Civil Society Index, second edition. Within the second edition of the Civil Society Index project on the analysis of the Italian civil society, FONDACA is carrying out a case study on the structure and the role of umbrella organizations. The project aims to examine how, to what extent, and with what strengths and weaknesses, umbrella organizations are able to play their role in strengthening the connection to civil society organizations and to make their voice louder in the relationship with their public and private stakeholders. The study will focus on the Italian context, but existent literature on the European umbrella organizations will also be studied and analyzed.
