FONDACA’s staff is made up by a group of professionals. In addition the Foundation draws on the collaboration of a network of partner who become involved on areas of activities.

The FONDACA mission is focused on citizenship regarded as a plural and multiform phenomenon, where crucial changes of contemporary societies' democratic systems related to new status and roles of citizens in the public sphere take place and can be observed.

Actually, FONDACA shares the same general goals of the Cittadinanzattiva movement: the promotion of a new form of citizenship where citizens take on powers and responsibilities in the field of public policy making, in order to protect their rights and care for the general interest.

In January 2004 FONDACA obtained legal recognition according to the Italian law, with the registration number 244/2004.

The Foundation is registred as interest representatives - European Commission and it is member of International NGO CIVICUS - World Alliance for Citizen Participation.
