Legal status and registration
FONDACA obtained legal recognition accordino to the Italian law, with registration number 244/2004.
It is focal point of the Global Compact Network for Italy It is Italian member of International NGO CIVICUS – World Alliance for participation
It is a registered Organizational Stakeholder of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Mission The FONDACA mission is focused on citizenship regarded as a plural and multiform phenomenon, where crucial changes of contemporary societies' democratic systems related to new status and roles of citizens in the public sphere take place and can be observed.
The Foundation aims at contributing to increase, share and making good use of scientific information and knowledge on this phenomenon, in cooperation with public, private and civic actors operating in the local, national, regional and global dimensions. Actually, FONDACA shares the same general goals of the Cittadinanzattiva movement: the promotion of a new form of citizenship where citizens take on powers and responsibilities in the field of public policy making, in order to protect their rights and care for the general interest. In January 2004 FONDACA obtained legal recognition according to the Italian law, with the registration number 244/2004.
The Foundation is registred as interest representatives - European Commission and it is member of International NGO CIVICUS - World Alliance for Citizen Participation.
